Description : PARIS REINFORCE is a large-scale innovation project with 6.5 million Euros in funding from the European Commission and involving 18 modelling teams worldwide. The project aims to underpin climate policymaking with authoritative scientific methods and to enhance the science-policy interface in light of the Paris Agreement. The first goal is to develop a novel, policy demand-driven, Integrated Assessment Model (IAM)-oriented assessment framework for effectively supporting the design of climate policies. The second main goal is to create an open-access data exchange platform, I2AM PARIS, to support the effective implementation of Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC) and the reinforcement of the 2023 Global Stocktake. ESMIA is responsible for the Canadian, American and Mexican case studies using the NATEM optimization model.
