Description : The Government of Colombia intends to update its Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) to the Paris Agreement by late 2020 and this project is expected to feed in technical inputs into the NDC update process. A team of experts will support the review, update and consolidation of baseline GHG scenarios, GHG mitigation scenarios and marginal abatement cost curves. The team proposes to offer a user-friendly integrated simulation modelling framework based on LEAP (Long-Range Energy Alternatives Planning System) for this purpose. Recognized worldwide for its expertise in energy system modelling, ESMIA is mandated to provide guidance and prescribe format for data gathering from every ministry for a comprehensive representation of all GHG sources and sinks, consistent with IPCC guidelines.
