Teaching optimization techniques applied to the climate mitigation challenge in Benin.

Description : This school is supported by several operational research societies around the world and short courses are delivered by international scholars and practitioners to young researchers and professionals from African countries with outstanding performance in the areas of operations research (OR), machine learning, systems engineering and applied mathematics. ESMIA Consultants are providing one-day training sessions on optimization techniques applied to the climate mitigation challenge. Topics include the basics of energy technology systems analysis, the representation of systems using linear programming, the TIMES optimization model generator and the scenario analysis approach.
